samsung and T Moble do not stand by thier products???

    II recently upgrad to the galaxy note edge on sunday. Tuesday morning I noticed that the wallet cover was not clipped all the way down so I aplyed pressure to snap it back in place. Apparently you are not supposed to do that  because it cracked the screen. I see this as normal operation of the unit but T moble will not replace it for free and neither will samsung. These two companies do not care  about the quality of thier products and as a consumer I am outraged! I should not have to pay anything to have my defective mobile devise  exchanged.  What ever happened to companies standing behind thier work???
