Im not receiving any picture messages from my friends til the next day or three days later. I have an iPhone 6 and iOS 8.1.3 software. Does anyone know why and how to fix it?
No one's responded yet, so let me elaborate on it. I text my friends daily. Because I don't (or refuse to) have Snapchat, they'll send me pictures thru text. I won't get them and don't know they've sent me anything til they ask me if I got the picture they sent. I check my messages and there's no images from them. Text works fine, I have signal pretty much anywhere I go (school, shopping, in my house with WIFI). It's not until a few days later (usually 3 days) that I'll get their picture message on my phone and I notice the date is from a few days back.
Do I have the wrong settings somewhere that's delaying me from receiving these pictures? Is it a phone malfunction and I need it replaced? What should I do?
I want to make sure your picture messaging works correctly so you can stay connected with those that matter most! Have you deleted messages from your device to make sure you have less than 5-10 conversations/threads, and less than 50-100 messages per conversation/thread? Is your data/internet working correctly? How often do you power your phone completely off, even if everything is working correctly?
I've deleted my messages time to time. I think the most I've had in my inbox is 12 conversations and my message settings had the messages set to "forever". my data/internet is working properly. I have no issues with coverage and I turn off my phone every night and I don't have the charger plugged in all night.
Lets get this figured out! Is this a T-Mobile iPhone or unlocked from another carrier? Can you follow these steps:
Once that is completed, please test again.
It's a T-Mobile iPhone. I've also tried that and still no luck. I went to a T-Mobile store and got it looked at there. They changed the SIM card for me and it fixed the problem. Thanks for your help anyways!
We're glad you were able to get this resolved! Please let us know if we can assist again in the future!
