I double checked that LTE is enabled and I tried resetting the network but neither worked. This phone was bought through T-mobile and I've only had it for about 2 weeks. I didn't notice until today that it only connects to the 4G network while another iPhone 5s connects easily to the LTE network. Is there a fix to this or did I receive a faulty phone?

If you have already reset the network settings - there is a couple of things you can try:
1. Check the link above and then go into Settings -> General -> Cellular and see if there is anything that is off
2. Toggle the LTE switch off and on - sometimes that works
3. Restore your iPhone via iTunes
If that does not work - you can try the Genius Bar at your nearest Apple store (New phones have a 90 day warranty as you know) or return it to T-Mobile for a replacement
