Why is this? I have been waiting long enough, put the money down and I got an email that stated I would have my iPhone 6+ shipped on or before 10/18 because they had received more shipments from Apple! AWESOME!!!! Or so I thought.....I just checked my order status and it now shows it will not ship until 11/4. By the time I get it, the next iteration of iPhone will be out.
Why even send an email like that if you can't fulfill it? Not only did it get my hopes up, I was stoked to get it and immediately pay it off. I am almost thinking about cancelling the order altogether and just waiting in line and buying an unlocked model straight from Apple.
There is one more thing you can do to confirm or refute the T Mobile email.
UPS tracking by order will let you see if the order is enroute or you can sign up (free) for UPS MyChoice
I agree. When I originally placed the order, I was promised a delivery date of October 20. That annoyed me because I had originally placed the order through Apple with ETA of early October. I was told by T-Mobile to cancel Apple order and order through T-Mobile to get ETF reimbursed.
A couple of weeks ago, I received an email stating the order will be pushed to November 7 which made me quite furious to say the least. I realize it is out of T-Mobile's control, but don't make promises you can't keep.
Then about a week ago, I received an email saying I will be able to receive the phone by October 20 after all. And just 2 days ago, I received an email stating it will be pushed to November 7 once again.
Yeah even Apple is having trouble keeping up with initial demand.
Not only because of a large amount of orders there were numerous issues with their production plants. A foxconn plant was shut down for a while due to a big strike if I'm not mistaken.
True but T-Mobile IMO should have a better handle on what is outstanding and try to give consistent dates of delivery. Pleasant surprises (device coming earlier than indicated) are acceptable - unpleasant ones are not
