Is it true that a no-contract Verizon LTE iPhone 6 can be switched to a T-Mobile account?
Verizon confirms that its prepaid (non-contract) phones are sold unlocked, and many sources claim that the phones can be used on GSM carriers such as T-Mobile: Which iPhone 6 model to buy contract-free - digWHICH
Can anyone confirm?
I am just a customer who happens to be an Apple aficionado - with that disclaimer
The only way to know for sure is to put in a T Mobile SIM card and see what happens. There are some sites that can check your IMEI but they are not free (at least I have not found any)
You may need to follow article HT1808 on Apple support forums
1. Back up to iTunes
2. Restore the iPhone using iTunes
3. If unlocked - it should show and give you a message as well as accept T Mobile's SIM
Thanks! I'm afraid that's what I'll have to do.
