I've read the discussion stating that the Nexus 5 won't be getting wifi calling due to it being a Google platform, but the phone app has options for internet calling. Is it possible that that option could be used? It looks like only needs the SIP account settings in order for it to work.
If T-Mobile has free wifi calling for other handsets, I would think they could provide it for Nexus 5 customers. We would simply need to be provided with the credentials and settings for the account. Might this be possible?
T-Mobile uses technology that reads the SIM for Wi-Fi calling. They're not
going to do a SIP method for security to keep people from trying to use the
same number across multiple devices.
This is the next best thing to T-Mobile WiFi calling on your Google Nexus 5 or Moto X - Pocketables
I hope this link works
