My Nexus 5 does get data coverage for my $30 Unlimited Text & Data with 100 minutes of Talk plan. I have been to two TMO stores and have been with customer support for over 2 hours. I am wondering if everyone having issues with their Nexus5 and TMO data plan is on the $30 Unlimited Text & Data 100 min Talk plan? Do I need to switch to another plan for my N5 to get data access to work?
There's several threads in here about it.
YES, it works.
You need to explicitly say to Customer Care that you need an ANDROID DATA PLAN OPTION put on your account.
Here is Customer Service's response:
John N: I am sorry, but we do not have the "Android Data Plan Option" as suggested in the discussion, and you have the correct feature since the internet is working, just slow.
LOL @ this...
John N: Alright. We actually have a T-Mobile version of the Nexus 5 which was released last 20th of November. That phone is specifically designed to work under our network, specifically LTE.
There was one, but due to recent changes to the system there's just a singular data plan now.
Mine didnt access LTE at first but after I suggested to tech support to turn on apn 6 switch on my acct, reboot and LTE!!
To the best of my memory.
