In regards to T-Mobile's new LTE.. Is the International version of the Samsung Galaxy S3 , compatible?
I have an opportunity to purchase one off Ebay for $490.
Watch out, a number of second hand phone purchasers found to their dismay that the IMEI numbers had been blocked by the carriers.
Before purchase, you may want to see if you can get the IMEI number to check with T-Mobile on if the phone can be activated or not.
As to the radio bands used by the international version versus the T-Mobile specific phone? It may work, but HSPA+ is running on a different frequency than most GSM based vendors are using. In this case, like an ATT specific phone, it may only run at 3G speeds.
From the ad you posted. It will get 2G/Edge only.
(not working with Sprint or verizon)
work worldwide in any GSM network (sim card network)
*Tmobile Data work in EDGE speed , not 3G
I don't think international S3 supports LTE at all on any carrier.
If the phone has the 4G LTE Band 4, it will work on T-Mobile's 4G LTE network as long as it is unlocked for LTE service and has the right APN configuration to be compatible with our network. You will need to have the T-Mobile 4G LTE APN added to the phone to connect to 4G LTE.

Hello Alicia, I own the galaxy SIII i9305 LTE as I live in Australia but I have a T-Mobile sim for when I travel in the USA. Can you please give me the correct APN configuration to get 4G LTE in the USA with T-Mobile? I would really appreciate it.
