I'm looking for some advice from the Dell Streak 7 community. I've had the device since mid-March 2011, and I like the device's features and performance well enough. The problem I'm having is with the level of support for the Dell Streak 7 from the Android programming community. After having the device for only a few months, it is beginning to seem like the market place is no longer interested in developing for the Streak 7.
More specifically, my biggest issue is that I still have not found a single video chat app that will use the front-facing camera for chatting between the device and a PC. I've tried Yahoo Messenger and it only uses the rear camera. Oovoo used to work with the rear camera also, but they have now abandoned the Streak 7 entirely and they've made it so the app won't even run on it any more. Skype might get there someday but have not shown much interest yet. And I've tried a couple others that just crash upon opening or don't connect all, and still others that I hear work between Android devices but do not have a PC version.
So, does anyone out there know of a working video chat app for the Dell Streak 7, that works with the front camera and also has a version?
Try Qik video chat. It works well in mine.
OK, I've heard that Qik works on the device with the front camera, but isn't it only for chatting between 2 Android devices? Last time I looked at Qik, they did not have a PC version that would then allow me to video chat between the Streak while travelling and the home PC.
Update to my video chat problem: Oovoo now works on the Streak 7 and uses the front-facing camera, for chat to a PC-based client. Hooray for Oovoo to be the first. I just wish it didn't take them almost 7 months since the Streak's debut, that's a long time in the fast-changing world of tablets.

by the way, that's correct. Qik is not PC to android. it's only android to android. Yahoo Messenger Video does PC to android as well as Oovoo and soon Skype will (if it hasn't already).
