Are you using the Verizon Messages app? As awesome as their app is, it doesn't always work well on other carriers. I'm assuming you have verified the APN settings for T-Mobile.
No, not using any kind of messaging app.... this is just regular
texting...what are the APN settings? Maybe I should be looking into that...

I actually contacted TMobile again and this time, the rep suggested I turn
off iMessages and turn it back on again ... he thought that iMessages had
probably registered to the temporary number before the permanent number was
completely ported over. So far, it seems to have fixed the issues. So I
still know nothing about APN settings! LOL
