I contacted support and they act like we are stupid and say there is no such update   . This happened with the updated security patch on the one plus 6t it took TMobile forever to update the security patch. Our security isn't of importance to them niether is getting a properly working

          phone

Re: OnePlus 7 Pro Update -- OxygenOS 9.5.7

That's the type of answer you get when yoj ask the wrong people a question they bave absolutely nothing to do with.  Call or message OnePlus, since they are responsible for all updates on all of their devices.

People really need to get the misconception out of their heads that carriers employ a vast amount of Android developers for every device they sell.  OEM's are responsible for their devices software and hardware.  T-Mobile is just another retailer that also happens to provide a cellular service as well.

Re: OnePlus 7 Pro Update -- OxygenOS 9.5.7

TMobile is totally responsible for the release of software updates. OnePlus has no control of when TMobile releases the updates since they have to make sure the updates meet certification and regulations set by tmobile.same reason y T-Mobile locked the bootloader on OnePlus devices so that we can't mess with the software. They don't want you to b able to use the device with other carriers unless the phone is paid off n meets unlock requirements. All OnePlus devices straight from OnePlus come unlocked with bootloader unlocked as well. Educate yourself before bashing others that don't know.

Re: OnePlus 7 Pro Update -- OxygenOS 9.5.7

There is no testing done bybT-Mobile for security uodates and OnePlus had the final approval and push!  This is the same for every other OEM as well.  OEM's got tired of carriers messing up their devices almost a decade ago, just like consumers gotntired of not getting updates if they switched carriers.

I wasn't bashing anyine but clearly you haven't done your research!  Seeing the same gripe posted over and over again by people who blame the carrier for something they have no control over isn't going to help you or anyone else.

Re: OnePlus 7 Pro Update -- OxygenOS 9.5.7

There is a work around to this dilemma. I can't say much about it but if u look on YouTube there's a way to get the updates directly from OnePlus. Xda developers is a great site to find out more

Re: OnePlus 7 Pro Update -- OxygenOS 9.5.7

All updates come from OnePlus!  A friend of mine received and installed the 9.5.6 on his stock T-Mobile OnePlus 7 Pro with his Verizon SIM in it.

It isn't really a work around either.  It is literally flashing the firmware to the US/Internation (SM1917) from the T-Mobile US (SM1915) firmware.  You can also sideload the 9.5.7 (SM1917) and update that way, leaving it mostly still the stock T-Mobile firmware, but doing so will break OTA's.  The only way to restore the OTA fuction would be a complete reflash of the T-Mobile firmware or to flash to the US/Internation firmware.

I was also looking to do the update manually but it looks like T-mobile has not released it. No news as to when they will roll it out.

                        Update is finally available

It doesn't make any sense whatsoever that T-Mobile can carry the Pixel line now, and Google gets the updates out on time every single month, T-Mobile doesn't interfere at all in that process, T-Mobile could easily allow the OnePlus updates to come through over the air just as fast as they do on the OnePlus 7 pro international model, there is no difference other than features on the international model, so to say stuff like they need to get it approved or up to T-Mobile standards or whatever BS excuse T-Mobile is using, is a flat out lie. Buy an international version of the phone and it will work on T-Mobile network just as well as the T-Mobile version, the whole thing is a lie by T-Mobile, of Google can do it, so can everyone else.
