Deleting texts on watch

vulcan8741

I have a 46mm samsung watch paired with galaxy 9 note phone.  If i delete a text message on the phone now it also deletes it off my phone.  How do I stop it from doing that?

Has it always been doing this? Also, do you have the device connected via Bluetooth or does the watch have it's own number?

Watch is connected via bluetooth.  When 1st paired it didn't do this then started.  Same with another one we bought......at first it didn't and then started the same thing.

                Re: Deleting texts on watch

I'd think that since it's connected via Bluetooth, the watch is only reflecting what messages are stored on the device. So, removing them from the phone would result in them deleting on the watch as well. But, since it's something that didn't happen before, it's either associated with an update or something software related. Resetting the watch is the way to help with anything wonky going on with the software.
