Does Amazon have your correct phone number? Do you have the Amazon 6 digit number (262966) the texts come from blocked? Do you have any text restrictions in place that might prevent those from reaching you? T-Mobile can restrict texts to and from radio stations and other numbers like Amazon. Why they enable this by default sometimes, I have no idea, but they had this enabled on my account by default when I signed up via prepaid and had to call customer care to have it removed.
Did you port your number in to T-Mobile and not tell Amazon that your phone is with T-Mobile instead of your previous carrier?

There’s a note on the Alexa Calling help page:
Note: You may be prompted to verify your phone number via text message (SMS). If you don't receive this message, you can try again by selecting the Resend Code option (below Continue) on your screen.
Did you try resending it?
If the problem persists, contact Customer Service and they will troubleshoot with you. From the Alexa app > Help & Feedback > Call Customer Service > select your device > select a category > select an issue > verify your info > Call Me > they will call you almost immediately.
