Unlock LG V20

    It has been more than 24 hours since I requested an unlock for my LG V20. I still have not received an email confirmation yet.  My phone cannot send or receive calls at this time. I need my phone for work.  Who can I contact about to inquire further?

              The confirmation email tells me to use the Unlock App on my LGV20. There is no unlock code.  The app gives me an Unlock failed for temporary or permanent unlock. What now? This phone cannot be unlocked.

                          nothingbutissues - Sorry to hear you were having trouble with the app Just to confirm, you were able to get this fixed by switching to the 2G network?

                              I'm ONLY able to connect on 2G. My phone won't connect to the LTE network anymore. This isn't what I'd consider fixed.

                                  I already switched from T-mobile to ATT. Since it is network locked, I can no longer access the T-mobile network. 2G is not an option either.

                                    nothingbutissues - Sorry for the confusion! So you have the phone unlocked and you are still using your T-Mobile SIM card in it right? If so, a mobile device unlock will not kick you off LTE, this is purely a coincidence. I know that you said you changed the network selection modes earlier. Can you please ensure that you have it set back to GSM / WCDMA / LTE (auto). Also, what is your ZIP code where you are at that you are not getting LTE and when was the last time you were able to get LTE there?

                          I'm also having issues with my LG V20 after requesting an unlock: my phone won't connect to the T-Mobile LTE network. I think that when T-Mobile processed the unlock request they kicked my phone of the LTE network. I've called and chatted to service reps and I've tried several reboots, reseting settings to factory defaults, swapping sims and also completely wiped the phone. None of it has worked so I'm pretty sure the issue is on T-Mobile's end.

                           

                          I eventually figured out that it connects to the 2G network if I switch my preferences to Automatic 3G/2G under Settings > Network > Mobile Networks > Network Mode > ...

                           

                          This isn't what I'm paying for.
