Hey there!  Are you already a customer?  If you were local, I would recommend T-Mobile ONEPLUS, which allows for unlimited data on the device with a 20 GB LTE hotspot.  My concern is that you will be out of the country for an extended period and you might be flagged as an Extreme Roamer which could cause issues with your account up to and including cancellation.

If you are an existing customer, you might be better off setting a seasonal suspension (good for 90 days, then you can request a new one after that one expires which will allow for 90 more days, this should cover time you are out of the US) and getting a Korean SIM for the time you're there.

I'm a Korean lives in NYC often trevel to Korea using Tmobile one plus, the data is so slow basically useless as kbpsec down so no hotspot is available from your own phone to use. just checking out your email, text etc are ok. For fast internet get a local carrier in korea and suspend T-mobile US while you are staying there.
