If Motorola took anything from Google and their Pixel, it was crazy simple. If I recall, all I did was plug my old phone into the new one (using the included adapter) and everything it could copy copied.
I don't know if call logs would transfer over. I also don't know Moto's software differences and what they do. I couldn't find anything in my thirty seconds of google searching other than "manually backup and restore"

what i have done in the past is move sim card to your new phone. then to transfer files and apps and contacts etc use the t-mobile content transfer app. You only need to be on the same wifi network for it to work.
Did you still need help transferring your info to the new phone? Please let us know.
