Post paid accounts normally pay at the end of the month for the service they have used. You can't pay for charges you might incur ahead of time. Nevertheless there are no prorations so if you use half a month you pay for a whole month. That is why you get one last bill.
If your last bill was your last payment then you could leave at any time and then be gone with any number of future charges left unpaid.

For some reason I am on Bill Current.
They take a guess at your next bill and bill you out ahead.
Then they adjust everything after the fact.
I do still have one line with T-Mobile so my question was mainly about 4 lines that were disconnected. It does not make much sense to pay ahead for 4 lines that no longer exist.
But Team of Experts did assist me so I am taken care of.
