Here's the issue, as best as I can figure it out. Net10 is a TracFone MVNO which operates on any of several networks. The phone you are using, the LG 440G, is a 2G GSM flip phone. The only national network that still employs 2G GSM in any way, shape or form is T-Mobile and T-Mobile is depreciating GSM as quickly as possible to make space for LTE. In several markets only a vestigial GSM service remains, running in the guard bands of the LTE carrier. This causes many dropped and incomplete calls for people who have older phones. (Do you see where I'm going with this?)
The problem isn't Net10, it's your phone. You can't fix the problem by changing carriers because the only carrier that phone even works on is T-Mobile. Time to get a new phone. You can probably use any TracFone compatible device. I've read that they have ZTE flip phones that sometimes go on sale for as little as $15.
i originally had a Samsung SGH-T201g and went to the LG 440G thinking it would solve the problem, so i should try to change the phone one more time on my current net10 service.
is there any good recommendations on a zte model phone with good signal quality to get, i'd prefer an all black flip phone, nothing fancy
i'm looking at 3 choices
leaning towards the LG B470, would any of the 3 solve the problem i'm experiencing with dropped calls and break up
i'm also looking at the ZTE Z223
The ZTE phones you've mentioned (Z221/2/3) seem to be 3G phones intended for AT&T's network. They lack 3G service in band 4, which T-Mobile uses in some markets. Same with the LG B470. Any of these phones would be good if you were planning to use an AT&T MVNO.
what if i was planning to use net10? you said that it was most likely my phone and not the net10 service, so which phone would you suggest then, i'd prefer a flip phone. i dont use my phone very much, basic calls and text is all i need, i dont need internet
