"Sorry, that mailbox is invalid" - known error? no ETA for remedy?


    I've been trying to get voicemail to work for the past two weeks ("Sorry, that mailbox is invalid").  Had a trouble ticket opened but when I didn't hear anything for a week I called in and was told my ticket was closed.  The rep tried more troubleshooting then ordered a replacement phone.  Still had the same problem, so T-Mobile store tech called in and eventually was told that it is a known issue and engineering is working on it.  Further, I was told that I should keep trying every few days and eventually it should work.  This all doesn't sound right to me.  How do I get a working voicemail account?
