MMS Spam Filter

I am trying to set up alerts from a linux server in order to send alerts to my phone. The messages/alerts will be received from an email address. If the message is less than 160 characters I will receive the message just fine. But that only works for tests. The problem is that most alerts are over 160 characters. So I will receive a MMS and it will ask me to download message. If I click download nothing happens, so after the third attempt it expires and it will disappear and I will receive a message from Unknown Address with a message not found. I have already checked the retrieval limit, checked my asn, rebooted device, checked for updates on messaging app, and still nothing. Is there a way to bypass the MMS Spam filter or fix this issue?
