How can I access files on LG Aristo's SD card?

I have been saving files to my SD card on LG aristo, however, when I plug in my phone to a computer the folder that comes up says there are no files/the folder is empty. I never had any problem with my other LG phones. Can anyone tell me how to get my files off this SD card or at least see them?

Hey there! When you plug in the phone, do you get an option in your status bar on the phone to enable MTP or anything to do with media transfer?
