Hey, aglasgow! Sorry for the delay in our reply here! I'm sad to say we're not able to review your bill from the public user forum; but this doesn't sound quite right so I'd like to ask a few questions in case you still have questions yourself!
Are you seeing two twelve dollar charges on just one bill immediately after upgrading? This might be the result of a switch to a newer protection feature; but if that's the case, you should see an offsetting credit for one of those charges. Or are you seeing this on more than one bill -- two PDP charges on the same line?
