Hello all, I received a bill with my name on it for an account I don't have. The account number on the bill is not the one for my primary account, and I'm not familiar with the cell phone number. The bill says the line was cancelled, that there's a $50 return credit, and that I owe $13.41. The bill also includes info on Connecticut law protecting me from unwanted sales calls (I don't live in CT).
There's nothing on my bank statement for last month about this; I will have to wait a few days to see if there's anything about it on this month's statement.
This might just be a case of identity theft, but I'm not sure. What should I do?
Welcome to our Support Community! I'm sure that bill came as a surprise. We definitely need to figure out why you were sent a bill and why the account is under your name. The best avenue to get this handled is to call 1-877-746-0909 which is our Customer Care team. They'll be able to locate the account since you have the account number.
