Quick question, out of the country and my phone just up and quit. What are my options as far as just putting the SIM card into another phone that I buy here? tech is saying that we need to 'activate' the new phone and that it has to be done stateside... essentially that we'd have to ship an $800 phone to a small, rural town that can't even tell me if the address my summer landlord gave me is correct!
I would think that I can just buy a local phone, drop the SIM in and go, but wanted to check here in case I'm overlooking something obvious.
If the new phone you purchase uses the same size SIM, you're good to go! You may notice a difference in signal strength depending on the frequencies of the phone and what network partnerships we have where you're located.
