Yes, I am aware of that. I am just wondering why T-Mobile doesnt allow you to do a single account, passing on the relevant costs to the customer. Aside from just the annoyance/frustration of having 2 accounts and remembering which is which, there are numerous benefits of having a single account at Netflix (being able to easily see when a movie in your DVD queue is available for streaming, etc). Also, it is not a simple process to just create a new account. Whether you use the new account for DVDs or streaming, you will lost your history, so no recommendations, and you would either need to just start fresh with your queue or spend the effort to rebuild it.
Given that T-Mobile already does this with the Premium Streaming plan, it does not seem like it should be that difficult to do for DVD plans as well.
