There really should be a warning: "YOUR NUMBER WILL BE DISCONNECTED IMMEDIATELY AND YOU WILL BE WITHOUT A NUMBER DURING THE PORTING / SIM CARD SHIPMENT PERIOD".
I rely on my cell phone for business calls and am working through this interruption the entire week with a last-minute rented mobile hotspot and a new WiFi voice number. This shouldn't have happened.
The number port request was sent in Friday, my numbers were disconnected on Sunday, the sim cards mailed Monday, and UPS tracking shows they will not arrive until the following Saturday.
You should do something about minimizing the interruption time, or at least warn the consumer first beforehand so they know to opt for overnight shipping everytime.
