Hey, binny!
Way to think ahead! I haven't had to utilize Skype or WhatsApp abroad before so I can't speak to how it functions overseas. However, I do know that it'll count towards your data unless you're connected to WiFi.
drnewcomb2, have you used WhatsApp or Skype in Europe?

"...it'll count towards your data unless you're connected to WiFi."
Which, because data is unlimited, is not an issue, true?
Since T-Mobile charges .20/min for either cell or "Wi-Fi Calling," I want to make sure that services like WhatsApp or Skype are not included in that definition. I assume not since WhatsApp and Skype are basically member-to-member calls (unless you pay the latter a fee).

binny, exactly, it isn't an issue. Skype and WhatsApp will use data vs minutes.

2 of 2 people found this helpfulRemember that wifi calling should only be used for incoming calls and for calls to U.S. numbers. They will be free. Wifi calling to intl. numbers will cost you more than 20 cents/min.
