Cannot contact a representative on the phone: "Please enter the phone number where we originally called you"

    I cannot reach a representative when calling T-Mobile support.  When I call the main support line (1-877-453-1304), I get asked why I'm calling, and I say "Representative"  I'm asked for the last 4 digits of my SSN and I enter them in.  Then I get the standard "This message may be record for blahblahblah".

     

    THEN I get told "Before we relay this message we need to look up your information. Please enter the phone number where we originally called you". Except I don't have the phone number where T-Mobile originally called me from BECAUSE T-MOBILE NEVER CALLED ME!!!  I am the one initiating the support call.
