Thanks for joining our T-Mobile Support Community! The short sound at the beginning of calls need to hit the road. Let's see if we can figure out what's going on. Have you tried using your bluetooth on a different device? We need to figure out if it's the device itself or the headsets. If you put the phone on speaker, do you hear the same sound? When did this start? Was it after a recent update or after pairing it with a new bluetooth device?
