SyncUP device will not let me "remove car"

    I am having some troubles with the SyncUP and Drive device.  When setting up 1 of our vehicles, there was 1 step that was missed and it is not completely setup and syncing with the app.  I have tried the "remove car" to start over but each time it continues to tell me that the device is plugged in and active, to unplug it.  The device is clearly unplugged because it is sitting on my desk.  I just need to know how to remove this device & vehicle from the app so that I can start from the beginning?  PLEASE HELP!!
