BingON with legacy plan .

frederickdawg

Hello, I have the Simple Choice unlimited plan, I read somewhere that if I turn BingON off then I will no longer receive VUDU or movie credits via T Mobile Tuesday , is this correct?

That's a really good question frederickdawg. Did you see that somewhere on either our support or T-Mobile.com site? I don't have any info saying you wouldn't get the T-Mobile Tuesday credit, probably because it's separate from BingeOn. If you do have a link to where you read that, drop it in this thread and we'll check it out. Thanks!

Re: BingON with legacy plan .

That's not correct at all. (I also have the Simple Choice Unlimited Plan) You are reffering to the $3.99 Monthly Vudu credits for having binge-on activated. If you have an unlimited Simple Choice Plan you are entitled to this $3.99 Monthly Vudu credit as long as you have had BingeOn activated that previous month. If you do not have BingeOn activated you will not be eligible for the $3.99 Monthly Vudu credit. And also be aware that this $3.99 Monthly credit applies to each of your unlimited simple choice lines . You can always be eligible to get this credit the moment you reactivate BingeOn for the previous FULL MONTH

The good thing is, the $5.50 Vudu credits distributed by the T-Mobile Tuesday App is different from the $3.99 Monthly Vudu credit. It is confusing, many T-Mobile representatives were confused about this too that I have talked to. Many of them had no clue about the $3.99 BingeOn Vudu credits until they asked a supervisor or looked it up online on their own site.

The reason, in my opinion for the $3.99 Monthly Vudu credits is to persuade us to watch videos at a lower quality as opposed to High Quality!!! Watching videos in low quality is fine with me, because I enjoy getting $3.99 a month in Vudu credits for all 5 of my unlimited lines . And when T-Mobile Tuesday come around with even more Vudu credits... I become the Vudu King at my house

and unrelated to your question. You are also qualified to get the $4.99 monthly value of Napster unRadio for each of your unlimited lines since you have the Simple Choice Unlimited Plan.

Re: BingON with legacy plan .

Thanks for your response. This is the first time that I've heard about a 3.99 vudu credit for having BinOn active. My original question , was in reference to the 5.50 vudu credits given periodically by t Mobile Tuesdays, which you answered, cheers.

How do I go about getting the 3.99 Vudu credits? BingOn has always been ON on all 4 of my lines since day one of it's inception.

              It's considered a Rebate.....

Input your information into T-Mobile's Rebate Page.... and you will get access to your VUDU credits. I have been collecting my credits EVERY MONTH.... and its for EACH of your unlimited lines. Just enter your other phone numbers and you will gain access to those codes as well. I am so glad i was of some help. Im long winded sometimes.... I usually answer peoples questions and I add other facts they may not be prevy to

Wow, thanks. I wasn't even aware about this rebate.

I just signed up now, thanks for the step by step instructions, appreciated it.

Now that I've entered one line , have 4 lines in total. Do I have to do it every month or is it now automatated?

Re: BingON with legacy plan .

Yes, you have to do the steps each month for each line to obtain the $3.99 VUDU credits. I did all 5 of my lines yesterday.... and walked away with $19.95 of vudu credits that I combined all onto the same VUDU account. Nothing is automated.

Re: BingON with legacy plan .

Im getting a little confused, when does the vudu credits generate a new code for each month cycle?

I claimed my first bingon credits on the 20th Oct and today it generated the same vudu credit codes.

My bill cycle is the 8th of each month. Im assuming I should wait until after Nov 8th for the new Vudu codes to be generated?

Re: BingON with legacy plan .

I have the older SimpleChoice Family plan still with BingeOn as well.  For the past couple years at the start of my billing cycle, I'd go to the promo site and get my $3.99 code.  However, this month it is not working.  Did something by chance change for 2018?  Or perhaps some other issue.  Thanks!

I guess something did change with the $3.99 Vudu credits for 2018 . I guess T-Mobile made changes without telling its customers that are directly affected. Im sure I will read about the details a few weeks from now from some online magazine, instead of being contacted by T-Mobile of these changes (shame on you T-Mobile).

Re: BingON with legacy plan .

"There were no promotions that matched your search criteria"

That's the message I get when I enter in my info to get my BingeOn $3.99 Vudu credits.

If the promotional Vudu credits are no longer available... I will start streaming all of my videos at HIGH QUALITY , because that was the only reason i had bingeOn activated... I have unlimited 4G data... so there's no real reason for me to agree to slow 480p video stream if there are no more vudu credits .

Re: BingON with legacy plan .

So I learned something new about "binge on" I was upset at 1st however I can work around it. My understanding of it ALL data used while streaming wouldn't count against monthly allotted data. So I decided to cut the cord about a two years ago and decided I'd use my tablets' hotspot full time to run my network. most months never had an issue till the wife streamed Hulu. I called TMO to figure out the issue and the rep revealed to me my understanding was incorrect and while Binge on did in fact not count against data allotment, it did count towards the 50 GB deprioritization limit. I was upset at 1st. I thought about it for a second so I decided to switch over to my Note 3 full time problem solved. It would have been good to know because I switched my tablet off a grandfathered plan that I can't get back 5gb for $20 with a $10 simple choice discount.

Anywho, I'm going to look into the vudu credits when I get home.

Re: BingON with legacy plan .

                                5GB FOR $20 with a $10 simple choice discount... i wish i had saw that promo . I currently pay $25 each for (2) 6GB mobile internet lines .

yes BingeOn does count against the 50 GB threshold....

a couple of months ago.... I did a "Cut The Cord" trial run I put a vacation hold on my home internet and used 4 out of 5 of my phones and 2 of my mobile internet wifi hotspots to have internet inside my home. It worked, but when the phones battery died, it became annoying to switch to the other phone or hotspot while the other charges. (my wife didn't want me to use her phone in my trial run). My son watches Youtube For Kids... and i did research there is no way to program the low video setting.... so he would eat up each if the phones 7GB of tethering really quick.... Other Than that... we had no issues. I took my home internet off of the vacation hold, and plan to use my T-mobile devices to replace my home internet only during emergencies (power outage/ home internet malfunctions/ etc., ....  i am collecting the data stash on my 6GB hotspots...  soon I will have a 20GB stash + the monthly 6GB data for both of my hotspots.... so that would definetly be a great backup when i need it.

and back to that 50GB threshold.... T-mobile states they will only enforce the 50GB threshold during times of congestion in your area .

and I use my Note 3 all the time also.... i refuse to get the newest and greatest phones until there is an awesome sale or some sort of promotion that i can't pass up

Re: BingON with legacy plan .

I recently took advantage of the NOTE 8 BOGO, awesome phone.an since I paid off my NOTE 8, I was able to drop the line. saving 30$ and I spoke with Tmo I am able to get back my SC NA 5GB tablet plan I may stick with the 6gb plan and wait for the next AAL promo, we pay $12.50 for my wifes tab $35 -$10 SC discount and -$12.50 AAL discount So for now I'm going to use my note 3 full time being that has fixed the issue because it remains 4G LTE even after the 50gb threshold vs my tablet reverting to 3g upon using all the 5GB of data.

And I tried the VUDU promo, it wouldn't let me do it.
