Apple store not able to pull up my TMobile account to enroll in Upgrade program?

    I am facing an issue where i need to enroll in the apple upgrade program by APPLE. When i went into the APPLE STORE they asked my for my phone number and last 4 digits of my SSN . But how my account was set up initially without the SSN and we were just operating using a passcode. They were not able to pul up my TMOBILE account information in the store.

     

    When  i contacted tmobile help desk and went into store they just asked me cancel my account and open a new account . Such a lame advice for just adding my SSN to my account.
