Cannot activate Apple Watch - Code 412

    For exactly a week, Ive been trying to activate my Apple Watch. I keep getting Activation Error Code 412. I've spoken with both T-Mobile and Apple many times and was told on Monday that this would be resolved in 48-72 hours. I even went into a T-Mobile store and was signed up for Digits but nobody had any idea of how to activate it on the watch. Has anyone that has had this issue had it resolved yet? It's so frustrating that both T-Mobile and Apple have been of no help.

        I am very sorry to hear that you are still having issues getting your watch activated! The good news is that since you already have the Apple DIGITS plan activated, we should be able to fix this by simply pairing the Apple DIGITS line with your primary line.

         

        1. On a computer web browser, go to the MyDIGITS portal at https://mydigits.t-mobile.com/  and log in with your T-Mobile ID and password.

        2. If you are already logged into My T-Mobile, click Phone, select the DIGITS line from the drop-down list, then click Manage DIGITS Settings.

        3. Under "Paired DIGITS", choose the desired primary line from the drop-down box and click Save.

         

        Please know that it can take up to 1 hour for the setting to provision on the network. If this does not work, please Contact Us again so that we can ensure that you were set up on the correct Apple Data with Paired DIGITS plan and ensure that the pairing went through. If you do end up needing to contact us, just ask to speak with a DIGITS specialist and let them know to reference internal document DOC-436594 which will have all the steps they need to resolve this for you.

            Hi Chris,

             

            Thanks for your quick response. So the store didn’t set me up with the Apple digits plan, just the regular digits. I called 611 and spoke with someone in the digits department and he said that it was the wrong plan and removed it. Unfortunately, he didn’t have a time frame for when this would be resolved. He said to just keep trying to set it up on my phone and that eventually it would work.

                Our DIGITS support team can definitely get you set up on the correct plan and manually activate you. Do you know if the person you spoke with activated a Apple Data with paired DIGITS plan for you or did they just cancel the one regular Data with paired DIGITS plan that was activated in error?

                    They just cancelled the regular data with paired DIGITS plan and told me that they couldn’t activate the Apple data paired with DIGITS plan and that I should just keep trying to activate the data plan myself through my phone until it works.

                        Okay, I am truly sorry about that. We can totally get this up and running for you. I hate to ask, but would you be able to contact us again? Just ask for a DIGITS specialist and have them look at the DOC-number I mentioned earlier. We will have you up and running in no time.

                            Hi Chris, I’m not quite sure what to do at this point. I did what you said and called up and asked to speak with a DIGITS specialist. I gave her the doc number referenced above. The rep wasn’t able to help. I was on the phone for over 30 minutes and was told that I’d get a call back within an hour. Unfortunately, I never got that call back but got a text message saying that DIGITS has yet again been activated for my phone number. Is there any way that someone can contact me directly that knows how to resolve this? Thank you.

                    I'm having the same problem. I called twice, and they basically told me to hold tight. When i went to the store the added my DIGITS plan ($10 a month with free 3 months), and I followed the steps above, but it didn't work. The number is already paired. What should I do now?
