Wow. Water damage can be a real pain. Was it fresh or salt water? If it was salt, I'm afraid that your phone is pretty much toast. I'm not a big fan of the rice thing. I mean what do you have to do to get rice to absorb water? Boil it, right? Otherwise, it just sits there. Do you have any way to produce and hold a good vacuum? A vacuum food preserver is one option. If you can hold the phone under a partial vacuum for several hours the water will evaporate out. You can also disassemble the phone and flush it with a high test (e.g. 92%) alcohol to displace the water, then warm with a hair dryer. This often requires a few special tools and a jeweler's loop. Sorry I don't have any good news for you.

Rice will absorb the water even if it's not boiled.
Living in an area with high humidity you'll notice that restaurants add a few grains of rice to the salt shakers to
keep them from clumping. Fun fact.

Think about it. How much water does a grain of rice absorb vs how much water is in the air? The rice in salt shakers actually act as little hammers to break up the clumps of salt. A small amount of fine gravel will work as well or better in a salt shaker.

The salt clumps up in the salt shaker due to the humidity plus who would want to put gravel
in the salt shaker.
The rice just gets the last of the residual water out of the phone after you dry it off. I wouldn't put a phone in a bag of rice
straight from pulling it out from water.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. The water was not salt water. It was a pond on a golf course here in Las Vegas.
I actually did take the mother board and charging port off and wiped them clean with alcohol several times.
I just can not figure out why no mic is working especially since I changed the charging p
ort board which has the main mic. I can see one of the mics not working but both of them seems like another issues since its the only thing not working.

Well that is a total bummer Water damage can cause all kinds of weirdness. Since drying the phone and cleaning it has not helped, I think the only option would be a replacement. Water damage voids the warranty but if you had insurance on your line, you can always file a claim

There are sites online that sell parts for phones. I don't know if the mic on the Note 4 is replaceable as a separate item but you seem comfortable with working with tiny components.
