If it was an android phone it would be possible but an iPhone only has the option to be permanently unlocked once you pay it off and meet the conditions to get an unlock code.
Now there is another way...BUT THIS MAY VOID YOUR WARRANTY.
There is some thing called an R-SIM, what it odes it allows you phone to work with other carries. Also if you update your iphone it may stop working. It's anywhere from $15 to $25 bucks. Now there are some version of this some work better than others and price is cheaper. I have used one before on my sprint iphone and it did work till ios did an update. But again this may void your warranty.
