Here's my current setup:
Galaxy S7 using multi-line settings (1 native line and 1 Digits line)
iPhone using the app (non-T-Mobile device) to have Digits on this phone
I'd like to port a Google Voice number to at least my main phone,
so it would have a total of 3 lines: native, Digits 1 and Digits 2 (GV)
Is this possible, and if so, how?
Great news! Yes you can do it !
Possibly in less than 10 minutes.
Although the number below can be called
any time it might be better to call during
stateside business hours for best service.
Port Request Phone Number
Google Voice Number
Google Voice Pin
The reps are really helpful.
The process is quick and easy.
Please check back and let us know how it went.
We would appreciate any feedback about the process
or any additional advice you might have for us.
Here's an update:
First attempt: three separate reps, the third seems to understand and took the details. Twenty minutes on the phone. 24 hours later not hearing anything, I called to check and learned the order was never submitted!
Day 2: while I was still on the phone, the rep started the process and I received an email from Google requiring me to unlock my number for porting and pay to Google $3.00. I unlocked and during the time on this second call (15 minutes) the number was ported.
Now: on my Galaxy S7 Edge, the multi-line settings shows all three lines
iPhone 7 (on AT&T using the app): I logged out then back in and all 3 lines appear
Finally: at least on my plan, there is a cost of $10/mo for the talk and text service, with a $5/mo credit for auto-pay.
