I'm a fairly new T mobile customer, coming from Verizon and I don't miss their service, however...
The one and only feature I really do miss is their messaging app which could be integrated (via wifi) to their network.
It was easy and straightforward. You download their messaging app on your tablet, authenticate it and you can receive/send messages (and phone calls) on the app. Very clever and very handy for the tablets I have spread out in my home.
I have read some stuff about the digits beta but don't think that is a potential replacement, plus it's in beta and it will incur a monthly charge.
I hope that T Mobile sees fit to do something similar. From what I recall on Vz's forums, this was a pretty popular feature.
Hello marklyn59 and welcome!
I've been meaning to look into the DIGITS application since I had originally heard about it. What I've read thus far is that the $35 charge doesn't actually get charged to your account when you sign up for DIGITS beta. There will be an order confirmation when you sign up for the activation fee, but there won't actually be a charge to the account while DIGITS is in beta. I found this information on the DIGITS beta program FAQs .
It also mentions that once the beta program is over you will have 90 days to decide whether to keep the service and will automatically remove itself if you choose to not continue.
I also see that the beta is full at this moment, so we may both end up waiting to sign up.
