What version sync do you have?
I drive a 2016 Ford Fusion that has sync 2 and have not had any problem so far with mine. Have you removed the sync device from the phone turned the Bluetooth off and on and try pairing it again?
Update: Ford Sync was on latest version.
- Unpaired the device on Sync and phone
- Deleted the device on Sync
- I completed a master reset of the Ford Sync system
- Paired the phone following standard process
