Hey eltondelux - I'm sorry to hear about this! I love Spotify and TBH I didn't know about this service, but it's a bummer that it's not working over the network. Thank you for the link to that thread - I hate to read that something we're trying to do to improve the service (zero-rate data for eligible customers listening to Spotify as part of Music Freedom) renders this other application unusable. I will definitely pass the feedback on - I can't guarantee anything, but it's worth amplifying the request up. Thanks for taking the time to post here and let us know what's happening.
To me it sounds like the program is just not connecting. This could be a similar problem to the issue with people using VPN or remote connections to home with iPhone. This was due to the use of ipv4 instead of 6. Many programs that have had the problem have been able to update their application to get it working again. Have you tried reaching out to the developer?
This doesn't seem to have been resolved. Is there a way to turn off 'music freedom'
Any 3rd party music program that uses Spotify doesn't work when using T-mobile data.
All have the same issue but work fine on Wi-fi or teathered to another carrier's data.
