I just bought a SIM card with 40doll plan, then switched to 'pay as you go'.

Oh okay, thanks for clarifying With a pay as you go plan, the account will automatically cancel after it has been in an unpaid status for 90 days. If you set up Auto-Pay or Auto Refill, you will want to make sure that you deactivate this service so that you are not continually adding funds to the account.
