Why am I being charged for service in advance for two new postpaid lines?

    I signed up for T-Mobile early last year and it was a postpaid plan. I did not have to pay for service until my first month of usage. I recently added two voice lines to my account for postpaid T-Mobile ONE and I am being charged for service in advance. Is that right? My relative also signed up months after me and he never had to pay for service until after his first month of service. So why now am I being charged in advance?
