Hey bud1! I know your On5 definitely has proximity sensors... I wish I could tell you why they're not working! Some Galaxy devices have an option in Call Settings where you can toggle a check mark on to make sure the screen turns off during calls - if you open your Phone app and hit the Menu option to go to your Call Settings, do you see anything like that there?
I am new to "smart phones" so I have a steep learning curve.
Apparently. I over looked, the 'proximity detector' is by default always on and not deactivated ever.
I was trying to use the detector in other ways than just making a call, no dice though.
A smart phone 'is' just maybe smarter than a 5th grader.
Thanks for the reply.
Have a good year.
No worries, everyone is new to smart phones once! Please let us know if you have any other questions - we'd love it if you were able to use the Support Community as your walking stick while you climb that learning curve, so to speak. I hope you're having a great New Year... free of cumbersome metaphors like these, haha!
