Sorry that you're having an issue. For the scenario that you described you actually want to get a duplicate SIM for one of your phones. This way you can have the 1 and only 1 number on both the phones rather than having 2 separate numbers and using the DIGITS app since in that case there is no need for the app.
Relative to the can't make call issue you're seeing. Can you reboot your phone and try again?
Also make sure that you're not trying to log into the client to use the same number that is on the phone itself.
Yes that is correct, having a duplicate simple for both phones would be awesome. With the call issue the app is install on the iphone, without my sim inside the phone. I have tried restarting the phone and reinstalling the app. I feel like it would be better to have a duplicate simple for ease of use and not having to be near a WiFi connection
