I would like to double-tap to begin using my X 8.0 (or press the power button).  However after doing so, I must Swipe, or use a Knock Code, or use a Pattern, or use a PIN, or use a Password.  How can I get NONE as a choice on this device, like I have on my LG V10 phone?  ...And like this link (Device lock: LG G Pad X 8.0 ~https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-29921) that outlines NONE should be present?

    Thank you for the help.

I found this solution.  Do a factory hardware reset (Device resets: LG G Pad X 8.0).

Steps follow, in case link doesn't work:

        Master reset with hardware keys

A master reset restores the original factory settings and may delete your personal data on the internal storage, such as downloads, ringtones, images, apps, contacts, and Visual Voicemail. It does not delete data stored on the SIM card or SD card.

If the device menus are frozen or unresponsive, you can master reset using hardware keys.

        1. Back up data on the internal memory.
        2. Turn off the device.
        3. Press and hold the Power and Volume down buttons.
        4. When the LG logo appears, quickly release and then re-hold the Power button while continuing to hold the Volume down button.
        5. 'Factory data reset' appears.
        6. Use the Volume down button to highlight Yes.
        7. Press the Power button to confirm.
        8. Erase all user data and restore default settings' appears.
        9. Use the Volume down button to highlight Yes.
        10. Press the Power button to reset the device.

Fortunately, my device was brand new, so I didn't have to worry about losing any data or settings.  Thanks to LG backup and Google restore all my apps were installed and settings transferred back in!  Good luck is you have a similar issue!

You do NOT have to do a Factory Reset.  Go to settings >General>Security>Certificate management>Clear credentials.  Then go back and select None in Lock Screen settings.

Works on LG G2 and G4 anyway.
