I had tried several things like taking out the battery, restarting the
phone, etc., and nothing was fixing the problem. About five hours after
the problem started, it thankfully cleared up and once again showed that I
was on the T-Mobile network and was able to make phone calls and send
texts. It does sound like it was a network hiccup. Thanks for checking!
