My V20 has a very poor GPS signal. I have tried everything. Location mode is set to high accuracy, sensor filtering set to medium, factory reset, removed case all to no avail. Is anyone else experiencing similar issues? Any solutions?
I use my GPS for quite a bit on my phone so I totally feel you. What specifically are you seeing on your phone to lead you to beleive it is not working properly? What specific apps are you using on your phone?
I seems to lose signal and the GPS jumps all over the place. I've noticed poor signals in Waze, Google maps and very choppy run routes in the health app with frequent "searching for GPS" messages. Very similar to the user issues reported here https://www.reddit.com/r/lgv20/comments/5aaysa/lg_v20_gps_issues/.
Thanks for clarifying! I am not seeing anything listed on this being a known issue with the V20. Are you able to try using your GPS in other areas? If you are in a wide open parking lot does the GPS calm down and eventually find you?
It's definitely not a blocked signal as it occurs everywhere. The signal always comes come back in a second or two but it consistently loses the lock.
Thanks for clarifying GPS is kind of weird to troubleshoot as most of the time it either works or it doesn't. Most of the troubleshooting is all physical stuff like taking the case off or trying in an open area which you have already done. The last step is usually a master reset but you have already done that too. At this point I think we would need to look into doing a warranty exchange on your phone so we could get you a working replacement. Contact our tech support team whenever you have some free time so we can get this exchange started for you.
Your not alone. Never had issues until this phone. Tried everything. Still randomly loses location... Not happy with this phone. My N6 was rock solid...
Did you get a chance to try any of the troubleshooting that is listed above?
Hey liamdarg - I wanted to check in and see if you'd had the opportunity to reach out to Tech and discuss a warranty replacement. If so, how's it going?
hitherdread, did you have any luck with any of the troubleshooting Chris referenced above? Hoping that something worked out for you!
I was able to get GPS working better after a reset. Its much better now.
