So my daughter lost her phone last Friday, we found out we did not have insurance (we thought we did) so we called and put on insurance, they said I cannot file a claim UNTIL 40 DAYS PASS! 40 DAYS! I have no reported her phone stolen, I just suspended the line and did not exactly say the real reason for that. I don't know what to do, we dont want to wait 40 days to file a claim and then wait 1-2 more WEEKS for it to arrive! Someone help! What do I do
Losing a phone is never any fun!! Out of curiosity, how long had she had the phone before you added insurance to the line? The reason I ask is that insurance can only be added to a line within 14 days of you purchasing the phone. The 40 day time frame is a bit odd though. Was this what our customer care told you or is this what you were told when you spoke with our insurance company?
I got the insurance after 2 days she lost the phone, I know that is weird, but we thought we had been having it this whole time, and it was customer care!

Okay, I am truly sorry but adding the insurance at this point will not qualify you to be able to process an insurance claim. I know that you said this is something that should have been on your account already but this is not something that you have had to pay for the past year and 1/2. I know this is not what you wanted to hear but I wanted to make sure that we are fully transparent with this situation.
