How do I use my Nokia X2-01 as a tethered USB modem in Windows 10?

I recently installed Windows 10 on my laptop, an HP G72. I installed Nokia Suite v3.8.54 on the computer, it seemed to run fine. Until I tried to tether my phone and connect to the internet. I could not connect, all other functions in Nokia Suite worked. I ended up rolling back to Windows 7.

The info for Nokia Suite is as follows (after rolling back to Windows 7):

    Nokia Suite 3.8.54

    PC Connectivity Solution

    Connectivity Cable Driver

    Nokia nPlatform

    Desktop Sync Engine

    Operating system:

Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit Edition, Service Pack 1

    Language: English

    Detected internet browsers:

    - Microsoft Internet Explorer 9.11.9600.18163

    - Mozilla Firefox 42.0 (Default browser)

    Detected Bluetooth stacks:

    - Microsoft (Version: 6.1.7600, Build: 16385), Active

    Detected USB drivers:

    - Default Hub Driver for USB 6.1.7600.16385

    - USB Modem Driver 6.1.7601.18247

    - EHCI eUSB Miniport Driver 6.1.7601.18328

Tethering the phone under Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit (and Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit) with Nokia Suite works without a problem. The same previously under Windows XP SP3.
