Just got a call from a friend that asked why my number changed. So i looked, under phone number it shows unknowned. Even though i tested with my wife's phone and it showed the right number, i can only assume that's becuase it's on tmobile's network. So one more reboot, my correct number shows up and bam, turning on wifi calling without error.
Guess i should have checked that first.

Don't rely on it.
I rebooted and REG90 went away, successfully made a call then back came REG90. On testing it you are allowed to call out but it will bounce anyone trying to call you. Hopefully you do not use your call for urgent business.

Did you get this resolved?
I have this issue, sporadically (and last few days it's been consistent).
I only have WIFI in my house (no signal from nearest tower), and WIFI internet connection works fine, for everything except calling/texting.
Rebooting has not helped.

youre not alone. for two months between 5 new devices, i got REG99 ERROR. same thing. it is not devices.IF E911 ADDRESS IS SET in acct, it should never be device problem, but tmo issue. so far, 2 mos no real fix.

This still happens to me. I live in an area with low tower signal so use my local wifi to text. Usually its working again with a reboot. No real fix (or explanation for error message) that I'm aware of.

I get the same message, unable to connect to wifi calling in an error message at the top of my screen. I am here in Charlotte City Limits and I need the wifi calling so I can use my phone at my house. I really don't understand why it has such a hard time connecting my link speed shows 75 megabytes per second and I have excellent browser speed. Please get this issue resolved rebooting my phone does not seem to fix it.

Same problem here, in Saratoga, CA area. T-Mobile cell signal almost zero in this area, and now the "REG90 Unable to Connect" when turning WiFi calling on. It used to work well until a while back so this is a new issue with T-Mobile.

For me, turning airplane mode on and then off after a few seconds fixed it.

I have not been able to get our REVVEL to make calls after getting this message. We've done hard reboots, turned off airplane mode, and even did a factory reset. Nothing works. I can browse the internet on wifi, but when I try to call over wifi, I get a message saying to connect to a wireless network to make calls. Trying to make cell calls gets an error message saying to connect to wifi. Any thoughts?

They sent an update over the air to set the correct permissions but also recommended that
1. engage Airplane mode
2. turn off the phone
3 turn on the phone
4 disable airplane mode.
Apparently, this downloads a fresh copy of the phone/account entitlements

I've been having this problem. In fact I've been making international calls back to the US with wifi enabled and working fine thinking that I was making a wifi enabled free call when in fact some of them are being charged 20c/min because they're going over the cell network. I'm not happy.
I spent over an hour with customer support speaking to 3 different reps and they were mostly unhelpful, telling me that the wifi signal wasn't strong enough, which doesn't make sense if it loads data just fine.
They did tell me to go to settings->more connection setting->wifi calling->never use cell network, which will prevent this from happening, but doesn't solve the problem of why the REG90.
The advise from the poster above (2013497967) did get rid of the REG90. Thanks.

I am also having this problem. I have called several times and tech support has not provided a solution. I use wifi calling on my other device and it works fine so it's not a wifi strength issue. They also ruled out it being a device issue. This is a new line/device. I do not have T-mobile service where I live so I rely 100% on wifi calling. Can anyone help me? All of the provided solutions do not work in my case.

Change your SIM card. I had the same issue and it fixed it.

Folks...I wish I had never signed up with T-Mobile. In any event, I find it absolutely ridiculous that I cant make a call from my own home. I work from home so as you can imagine, its a huge disruption to my work. If this keeps up, I will need to cancel my service. On to what is helpful to all of you, I've found that making calls via WhatsApp works well.

Does your device support T-Mobile's WiFi Calling? What device are you using and did you purchase it from T-Mobile?

In some circums5ances, WiFi settings and poor speeds can cause various errors. What type of WiFi router are you using? At one point, T-Mobile had an Asus RT-AC68U that customers could get that had a specific T-Mobile firmware on it tweaked for WiFi calling. I am not sure if these are still available though.

There are too many people with the same problem for it to be a customer
problem. This is ridiculous. I have a signal booster TMobile sent me. If
that doesn't work, I am pulling the plug on my service.

I just purchased my OnePlus 6 from Tmobile today, and on coming home saw the "REG90" error.
The post above (@201349767) had instructions that fixed it for me. Thank you!
I just got advise from t mobile tech support.
They sent an update over the air to set the correct permissions but also recommended that
