More than likely that phone number has been issued to a different customer after
all these years.

1 of 1 people found this helpfulOnce a number is deactivated or cancelled or disconnected after a period of time it goes back into the pool of available numbers.
however I have heard of instances where a customer may wish to change their number and can request a number if available or add on a line temporarily and make that new line your old number.

Yeah, you might be able to get the same number if it hasn't bee reassigned. Call and ask to change your number and see if that one is available. If it is, great! If not you can keep the number that was assigned randomly.

Also, what kind of e-mail address was it? Gmail, Yahoo, etc? There will often be an alternate method of recovering a password.

I would contact the email company directly, sometimes there are alternate ways of accessing your email account as magentatechie stated.....even if you lost your passowrd & phone number associated.
I have done something similar with my Steam account... they may ask for personal info to verify your actual identity as proof you were the original owner of that email address. Just a FYI: Google or whatever other company that owns the email service may even ask for a copy of your drivers license as proof of identity.

As mentioned already, the number may not be available if it's been reassigned already. The best bet is to Contact Us and our Team of Experts can check on that for you.

The easiest way to do this is just to call the number!
If you get a ring, it's assigned and you're out of luck
If it is not assigned, you can DIGITS it to one of your numbers

Thank you everyone for all your replies! The one issue is that I no longer live in the United States and do not have a T-Mobile number. Would I still be able to purchase the number if it's available?
